Family outings in the fall, bring to mind, pumpkins, corn mazes and tractor rides. Hamilton has many country farms open to visitors.

Fall is a fun time to be outdoors. Bundle-up and head to a farm. The Hamilton area has several that are open to visitors. Get lost in a corn maze, take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch as you take in the country air. Children will enjoy the freedom of the open space. Most Hamilton farms have play areas, animals for petting, haunted barns, markets full of fall decorating items and homemade baked goods.

Dyment's Farm - 416 Fallsview Road East, Dundas

Every weekend in October is fall fun at Dyment's Farm. Besides, the scenic wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, there are farm animals, a barnyard play area, corn maze, straw fort, climbing wall, and other activities for children to explore. Dyment's Market has a wide selection of baked goods, ice cream, and ready made meals to take home. A chip wagon serves hot dogs, burgers and fries.

Green Mountain Farm - 454 Third Road East, Stoney Creek Mountain

Open from Thanksgiving to the end of October, Green Mountain Farm has different activities every weekend, from pumpkin carving to scavenger hunts, and costume contests for Halloween. The farm has a haunted hayride and barn, corn maze, pioneer village, animal corral, games, plus a pumpkin carriage ride to once upon a time land. Hot dogs, french fries and snacks may be purchased at the farm. Flushing toilets are available, with one handicap accessible washroom.

Hanes Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch - 1001 Highway 5, Dundas

Carved into ten acres, the Hanes corn maze features a different puzzle and design each year. Hunt for your own pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, pet farm animals, and explore the play area. The "Tiny Shop Bakery" offers 36 flavours of homemade pies, and a variety of baked goods. Hanes Farm is open for fall fun everyday, starting in September.

Lindley's Farm - 900 Fiddler's Green Road, Ancaster

Open for fruit picking in the summer, Lindley's Farm offers wagon rides to the pumpkin fields, every weekend in October. Insecticide and fungicide free, besides pumpkins, the farm has straw bales, corn stalks and mums for fall decorating. Explore the corn maze and solve the puzzle.

Parkside Farms - 519 Parkside Drive, Waterdown

Open everyday in October for fall fun, Parkside Farms provides a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, boo barn, corn maze, and a magical ride through storybook forest. Farm animals are waiting for a visit, and the farm's market is full of supplies for fall decorating.
