Toronto, the largest city in Canada is home to five universities. One of the worlds most multicultural cities, Toronto's universities are cultural diverse, with many unique programs. From a small Christian university to Canada's largest university, each of Toronto's five universities has its own distinct presence in the City, and all offer programs that keep pace with a fast changing world.
OCAD University
Visual Arts and Design are the Focus at OCAD University. Students experience a unique studio based learning environment at OCAD in programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees. Located downtown Toronto, with close by art centres and exhibits, the university has more than 2,500 students in a smaller campus environment. OCAD University does not have a student residence, but has information to help with student housing.
Ryerson University
Sitting in the core of Toronto's busy downtown area, Ryerson University has more than 28,000 undergraduate and graduate students. A leader in career focused education, Ryerson has over 100 programs, with 13 unique undergraduate programs. Work experience programs are a large part of Ryerson University. Three residences are available on campus, with 840 beds, that have single and shared accommodation, and meal plans are available.
Tyndale University
A trans-denominational, evangelical university college, Tyndale offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs focused on religious education. Located in a north residential neighborhood of Toronto, with downtown access, Tyndale is a small university with over 1,200 students that represent over 40 different denominations. Residence is offered at Tyndale in shared rooms, and a meal plan is available for students living in residence.
University of Toronto
Canada's largest university, established in 1827, has over 50,000 students attending the historic St. George campus in downtown Toronto and over 10,000 students at each U of T Mississauga and Scarborough facilities. The popular international university, offers more than 600 undergraduates programs and a wide selection of graduate programs. University of Toronto offers several residences from dormitory style to shared apartments, and various meal plans.
York University
Canada's third largest university, has a student body of 54,000, on two campuses in the Greater Toronto area. Keele, Yorks main campus, located in North York, is a self contained community offering eight residences. Glendon Campus, a fully integrated bilingual faculty in a midtown location of Toronto, has two residences. The two campuses are connected with a free shuttle bus, and students may choose to take classes at both campuses. York University has 10 faculties offering a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate degree.
